Whixley Library
The new Ouseburn Division Library is located in the Community Lounge at Whixley Village Hall.
We offer the following services:
• Book Loans for both adults and children
• Read & Play / Stay & Play sessions for little ones and their carers
• Talking Newspapers & Audio Books
• Free daily computer access – up to 2 hours
• IT resource loans for housebound members
• Digital Champions to help you navigate online services for health, work, and leisure
• Adult Learning Classes from North Yorkshire Council
• Pensioners’ Afternoon Teas
• School Holiday Activities (ages 5–12)
• English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
• Hammerton & Whixley Chess & Scrabble Club
• Photocopying & Printing Services
• Information, Confidential Advice & Guidance
• Book a meeting to talk to your Councillor or MP

On Monday 18th August, the new Ouseburn Division Library opened the doors to its new permanent location;
The Community Lounge in Whixley Village Hall.
This exciting new library and family hub is being established by the Trustees of Green Hammerton Library & Family Hub (CIO) — now an officially registered charity. (You can find us on the Charity Commission website).
This is the latest step in our mission to expand accessible library services across our local communities.
